MIT Computers is dedicated to the improvement of the Tampa Bay community. As a part of the Tech Club Referral Program, we donate $20 to one of the featured non-profit organizations to be chosen by the referred new member:
The Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association (THJrCA) is a non-profit community-based organization offering after school and summer programs that provide services to youths and their families in the City of Tampa. Services range from mentoring, tutoring, computer technology, health education, character, workforce, and financial literacy development. THJrCA is committed to making sure that Tampa youths receive services that will help them to become good citizens and community leaders.
The Crescent Foundation promotes education and social programs targeting young males between the ages of 13 and 18. The Foundation’s mission is to instill positive reinforcement and strong scholastic standards while providing a broad exposure to professional career choices.
The Centre for Women is a unique nonprofit geared to helping women in the Tampa Bay region to succeed both personally and professionally. Our diverse array of programs include success strategies for employment, women’s entrepreneurial and leadership training, outpatient substance abuse treatment, construction services for seniors and an innovative Centre for Girls to help them achieve their potential. Founded in 1977, The Centre for Women has helped more than 65,000 people in the community to lead happier and successful lives.
Elmira’s Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide loving care, life management and enrichment to exotic and wild animals in need of a home. We also provide educational opportunities which increase community awareness of these animals needs. The Sanctuary also provides educational opportunities in order to increase community awareness of these animals’ needs. The Sanctuary has no paid employees, is staffed entirely by volunteers and supported solely by members and private contributions.
By educating, empowering and connecting Tampa Bay nonprofits, the Nonprofit Leadership Center helps organizations grow stronger so they can deliver better results. They provide high caliber training at an affordable price, skill development to tackle real world challenges, learning from sector leaders, experts and peers, and training solutions to meet individual needs.
